Pear Tree is a very different place to mainstream residential care. We provide a values based organisation where children and young people are positively encouraged to grow and develop. Education and training is a mandatory expectation, helping our young people to learn skills to prepare them for life in an economic society. This is either in our own independent school or other education facilities.
They say it takes a village to bring up a child and Pear Tree offers the opportunity for both adults in a professional capacity and children in our care to join a very positive functioning community. As such we also offer different types of working environments where different skill sets are required but also represent the varying occupations as positive role models.
High standards in behaviour are expected and we need professional individuals who are committed to re parenting the children in our care.

Guided training into child development and trauma recovery will underpin your daily practice, with regular professional supervision available, provided by our attached, progressive and Chartered Educational Psychologist.
